World Vegan Day as always is on November the 1st - It commemorates the day that Donald Watson, a woodwork teacher from the Lake District in the North of England set up the worlds first Vegan Society after inventing the word vegan by cutting out the middle of vegetarian (The saturated animal fat bit)

It's been a bit of roller coaster year for veganism. A few years ago you'd barely see the word vegan in the newspapers unless they were spinning you a scarey yarn about animal rights extreemists.

This year veganism has not just been splattered all over the papers but it's been on TV too. It seemed like Donald Watson's (RIP) vegan Christmasses had all come at once when even food loving Opra Winfrey went vegan very very publically. If she can do it , hell anyone can!

This year for World Vegan Day we want to do something extra special in Croydon to capitalise on all the extra publicity vegan diets have enjoyed.
