Croydon Vegetarians
So far our current events programme is as follows :-

Monday 19th to Sunday 25th May 2008 – National Vegetarian Week – We will be having our usual Information stall, in Oasis Natural Products, High Street, Croydon, near the flyover. Please note we have arranged a 5% discount for all our members at this shops, on production of a membership card. We do hope that you are taking advantage !

Sunday 22nd June 2008 – Cats Protection Fair at 236 Pampisford Road 1-4pm– We shall be having an information stall. . This is a popular event with lots of animals to see and bargains to buy.

Monday 25th August 2008 – Carshalton Environment Fair, Carshalton Park Ruskin Road – 11am to evening – A wholly Vegetarian event, with lots of ideas for a sustainable life style. A great family day out , there is a variety of entertainment and many fascinating stalls. We’ll be there with our usual stall talking to people and raising funds.

Sunday 14th September 2008 – Banstead Countryside Day, off Chipstead Valley Road – 11am to 4pm – This is a wonderful day for all the family. There will be Shire Horses and the Downlands Trust, the event organisers will be showing woodlands skills, and many other attractions. We’ll be there with our usual stall. Please do join us.

Sunday 26th October 2008 – Committee Meeting – If you have any comments, advice, complaints, brickbats or praise and thanks please do let us know.

Saturday 22nd November 2008 – Chelsea Animal Fair, at Chelsea Old Town Hall, Kings Road – 11am to 5pm. – The Croydon group has been organising this event on and off for 30 years, raising funds for the Vegetarian Society. We have 2 tables in front of the entrance , where we sell cakes and lunch type food, and we are looking for people who could make us good veggie food for sale. And if you have any small items, that might be suitable for our tombola, we would be most grateful. Though our main problem with this event is transport, as we have to be at the venue from 8am to set up. If you have any suggestions or offers they would very gratefully received.
