Croydon was one of the original London suburbian new towns and is one of the reasons it's so huge, high and wide. It's en route to Gatwick so trains from Luton, Victoria, Clapham Junction, London Bridge, City Thameslink, Waterloo, Charing Cross, Brighton, Earls Court and Olympia regularly pass through. The Trams link Croydon to Wimbledon and the district line. The A23 passes straight through and the M25 is 20 minutes away.
